# An AI dashboard builder for your CRM

Sashimi's AI dashboard builder is in beta. Ask your AI for a view, such as “my deals this quarter by stage”, and it composes one from a catalog of components with live CRM data. To keep a view, your AI proposes a change and shows a preview. An admin applies it, and one step undoes it.

## Are on-demand screens ready?

On-demand screens are beta. They work through the MCP tools today, and every result also comes back as text and structured data, so your AI can answer without a screen. In apps that display MCP widgets, results can show as a screen.

The screens are read-only. Every write still goes through the connector, with your role checked on each call.

## How does a one-off view work?

Ask for it. `compose_view` builds a view from catalog components to answer a question now, such as “my deals this quarter by stage”, without saving it. It returns text, data and the view.

The catalog is fixed: headers, metric tiles, bar, line, funnel and donut charts, tables, cards, kanban boards and activity feeds, among others. Your AI picks and arranges them; it does not write code. A view is checked against the same rules as a saved screen.

## How do I save a dashboard?

Through a preview. `get_ui` shows the workspace's current pages and components, with their ids. `propose_ui_patch` takes 1 to 10 changes and returns a preview. It changes nothing.

A change can add, edit, move or remove components, add or remove pages, or change the style. Once the person confirms, an admin's AI calls `apply_ui_patch`, which saves it as a new version. If the screen changed since the preview, the AI proposes again.

## Can I undo a change?

Yes. `undo_ui_change` goes back one version, and the undo is saved as a new version too. Nothing is lost along the way.

`ui_history` lists every version, with who made each change and what changed. Applying and undoing are for admins. Any member can view, compose and propose.

## How do I see a saved page with today's data?

Ask your AI to open it. `render_page` shows a saved page with current data, resolved with the permissions of the person asking. It returns the page as text, so your AI can read or summarise it, plus the structured data.

For the numbers behind a pipeline page, see [sales pipeline](https://sashimicrm.com/features/sales-pipeline).

## Who builds the screens?

Your own AI. Sashimi's built-in agents and its built-in composer are off during the beta, so the reasoning runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan.

Sashimi checks each proposed change against the catalog's layout rules and checks that every field exists before it saves anything. The reasoning is yours; the rules are Sashimi's.

## What can I ask my AI to do?

Ask in your own words. Your AI picks the components, and nothing is saved until you confirm.

- “Show my open deals this quarter by stage.”
- “Add a tile with deals won this month above the pipeline on our main page, and show me the preview.”
- “Looks good, apply it.”
- “Undo the last change to the dashboard and tell me who made it.”
- “Read me the pipeline page with today's numbers.”

## How do I build my first dashboard?

Sashimi is in private beta, invitation only and free during the beta. At launch, Solo is $15/month per account (3 workspaces, 1 seat). Nothing can be bought today.

You need a Claude plan with custom connectors, or ChatGPT developer mode on the web. On Claude Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector; members can't add it themselves. The [setup guide](https://sashimicrm.com/connect) has the steps. Then ask your AI for a view of your deals; nothing is saved until you confirm.

[How it works](https://sashimicrm.com/how-it-works) explains roles, the [MCP server page](https://sashimicrm.com/mcp) lists all 140 tools, and the [home page](https://sashimicrm.com/) has the rest.
