# A CRM for ChatGPT

Sashimi is a ChatGPT CRM: a sales CRM that ChatGPT reaches as a remote MCP server in developer mode on the web. You sign in, approve one workspace, and ChatGPT can then add leads, move deals, plan follow-ups and start email sequences from the chat. Sashimi is not a published ChatGPT app yet.

## Can ChatGPT run my CRM?

Yes, once ChatGPT is connected to a CRM that keeps the data. Sashimi gives ChatGPT up to 140 tools, filtered by your role, for leads, companies, deals, tasks, activities and email sequences. You ask in plain words, ChatGPT picks the tools, and Sashimi stores the result and applies your workspace's rules.

ChatGPT does the reasoning on your own ChatGPT plan, so there are no AI credits to buy from Sashimi. The only credits involved are Apollo data credits, used for prospect import and enrichment on your own Apollo key, with an estimate before spending.

## How does the ChatGPT CRM integration work today?

Through ChatGPT developer mode on the web, as a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in. Sashimi is not a published ChatGPT app and is not listed in ChatGPT's app directory, so you add it by hand. It takes three steps:

1. In ChatGPT settings, go to Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
2. Go to Plugins, click + and create a developer-mode app for a remote MCP server.
3. Name it Sashimi, paste `https://dashboard.sashimicrm.com/api/mcp` and choose OAuth. ChatGPT sends you to Sashimi to sign in, pick your workspace and approve.

The same steps, with a copy button for the URL, are in the [setup guide](https://sashimicrm.com/connect). This page covers ChatGPT on the web only. More on [how the connector works](https://sashimicrm.com/how-it-works).

## Which ChatGPT plans can use it?

Plans with developer mode on the web: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education. OpenAI's documentation is not consistent about write actions on the personal plans, Plus and Pro, so check what your plan allows.

Every teammate signs in to Sashimi separately, and their ChatGPT gets only their own access.

## What can I ask ChatGPT to do in my CRM?

The same work you would do by hand, said in a sentence. ChatGPT turns each request into one or more Sashimi tool calls. Some prompts to start with:

- “Add these twelve people from yesterday's event as leads, with their companies.”
- “Move the Globex deal to Negotiation and remind me on Friday to send the contract.”
- “Show my open deals in Negotiation and make a follow-up task for each one for Monday.”
- “Write a three-step email sequence for CFOs. Don't start it yet; show me who it would go to.”
- “Find heads of sales at fintech companies and tell me what importing them would cost.”
- “What did you change in my CRM today?”

Bulk requests stay cheap. Twelve new leads are one `create_leads` call that also checks for duplicates, and a retry with the same `idempotencyKey` does not create them twice.

## How does ChatGPT keep my businesses apart?

With one workspace per business, and a connection that only sees the workspace it was approved for. ChatGPT cannot read or write another workspace through that connection. If you sell for [several businesses](https://sashimicrm.com/use-cases/multiple-businesses), each gets its own workspace and its own connection.

ChatGPT also acts with your role and nothing more. Admin-only actions, such as deleting records or inviting people, stay out of reach for members, whatever they type into the chat. Every call is logged and readable with `list_mcp_activity`, and any connection can be revoked. More on the [security page](https://sashimicrm.com/security).

## Can ChatGPT send sequence emails?

Only when you enroll someone, and through your own Gmail. Creating or editing a sequence sends nothing. Emails are scheduled when ChatGPT enrolls a lead with `launch_sequence`, and a run can be stopped at any time.

Gmail sending is beta while Google reviews Sashimi's access, and during the beta it works only for approved test users. Steps can also be manual, which turns them into tasks instead of emails.

## What does it cost?

Sashimi is in private beta, invitation only, and free during the beta. At launch it starts at $15 a month per account on the Solo plan, with 3 workspaces. Nothing can be bought today. Every one of the [plans at launch](https://sashimicrm.com/pricing) is listed with what it includes.

Yes, if ChatGPT is connected to a CRM that stores the data. With Sashimi connected, ChatGPT reads and writes a real workspace, so your leads, deals, tasks and sequences persist between chats and every change is logged.

Ask for the work itself: add a list of people as leads, move a deal and set a reminder, draft a sequence without starting it, or report on the quarter. Each of these is one or two Sashimi tool calls.
