Is the Gmail integration ready?

It is in beta, for approved test users. Google's verification of Sashimi's Gmail access is pending. Until it is done, Gmail works only for approved test users, and each connection must be renewed every 7 days, because Google expires access while an app is in Testing mode.

The rest of Sashimi works without Gmail. Without a connected mailbox, an automatic sequence step does not send: it waits for review, with the reason written down and a task to check it.

How does Gmail connect to Sashimi?

You connect Gmail in Sashimi's web app, under Settings › Email, and renew it every 7 days during the beta. Your AI does the rest. Each person connects their own Gmail. The sign-in happens with Google, and the connector has no tool for it.

Each mailbox belongs to one person. Sequence emails that person starts go out from their Gmail, under their sender name.

What gets logged from Gmail?

Emails with people in your CRM. As a CRM for Gmail, Sashimi runs a sync about every 5 minutes. Each email is logged as an activity on the lead whose address matches, or on the company whose domain matches, and linked to its thread.

Personal mail domains such as gmail.com never identify a company, so those emails match only a lead by address. Your AI reads the history with get_entity, which returns a lead, company or deal with its activities and tasks. Ask it to summarise a thread before a call, and it works from what was logged.

How do sequences use Gmail?

Automatic sequence emails go out from the Gmail of the person who enrolled the record. When stop on reply is on, which is the default, a reply stops the sequence for that record.

Your AI enrolls a record with launch_sequence, checks where it is with list_sequence_runs and takes it out with stop_sequence_run. It sets your own signature with set_email_signature and your sender name with set_email_sender_name. The email sequences page covers steps, templates and reply rates.

What can't it do?

It does not send one-off emails from the chat, and it does not read your inbox directly. There is no MCP tool for either. Your AI sees only what the sync has logged on a record.

For Google Workspace, Sashimi connects Gmail only, not Calendar or Drive. Gmail itself stays beta until Google's verification is done.

How do I get Gmail in my CRM?

Sashimi is in private beta, invitation only and free during the beta. At launch, Solo is $15/month per account (3 workspaces, 1 seat). Nothing can be bought today.

You need a Claude plan with custom connectors, or ChatGPT developer mode on the web. On Claude Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector; members can't add it themselves. The setup guide has the steps. Request beta access, then connect your Gmail in Settings › Email.
