Claude MCP guides for selling from your AI
Claude MCP is how Claude reaches outside tools: the Model Context Protocol lets Claude call a server's tools, and a remote MCP server is added to Claude as a custom connector. These guides cover how to connect one, how HubSpot works with Claude and ChatGPT, and how to compare CRMs you can run from your AI.

How do I connect an MCP server to Claude?
As a custom connector, in four steps. In Claude on the web or desktop, go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the server's URL, click Connect, sign in to the service and approve the access it asks for.
Per Anthropic's help article on custom connectors, as of October 2026 custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The Free plan allows one. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds connectors for the members.
Once a connector is on your claude.ai account, the Claude mobile apps can use it too. In Claude Code, the terminal command is claude mcp add --transport http <name> <url>.
Can ChatGPT use MCP servers too?
Yes, through developer mode on the web. You turn developer mode on in ChatGPT's settings, then add the remote MCP server by URL and sign in. As of October 2026, developer mode is offered on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education, and OpenAI's docs disagree on write actions for Plus and Pro.
The Sashimi for ChatGPT page walks through those steps for one CRM.

How can I sell from my AI?
Connect a CRM to your AI client, then ask for the work in plain words: add the people you met, move a deal, plan follow-ups or draft a sequence. The CRM stores the result and applies its rules, so your pipeline does not live only in the chat.
