A CRM for agencies
A CRM for agencies should keep each client's pipeline apart and make prospecting for clients quick. Sashimi gives every client its own isolated workspace and runs from Claude or ChatGPT. You ask your AI to find prospects, import them, log activity and plan follow-ups, one client at a time, and each client's records stay in that client's workspace.

Why does an agency need one workspace per client?
Because client pipelines should never mix. In Sashimi each client is a workspace with its own leads, companies, deals, tasks, statuses, custom fields, sequences and members. One login reaches all of them, and every query is filtered by workspace.
You add one connector per client to Claude or ChatGPT and name each one after the client. A connection is tied to the workspace you approved it for, and it cannot see or switch to another workspace. When you ask your AI about a client, it can only answer from that client's data. Your agency's own new-business pipeline can live in a workspace of its own.
How the isolation works is on the security page. If you also run businesses of your own, the page for multiple businesses covers that case.
How does an agency prospect for a client from its AI?
You open the client's connector and describe who you are looking for. Your AI searches Apollo, imports the people you choose as leads, and then works them with tasks, activities and sequences. Apollo runs on the key the agency connects to that workspace.
- Search.
search_prospectsfinds people who are not in the CRM yet, by job title, location, company size or keywords. Search spends no credits and writes nothing. - Estimate. Before a big batch, ask something like "how many credits could importing these 25 use?". Your AI checks
integrations_statusand answers with an estimate, not an invoice. - Import.
import_prospectscreates the leads and unlocks their email. This spends Apollo data credits on the agency's own key.enrich_leadfills gaps on leads you already have, and also spends credits. - Work the list. Your AI can create or update up to 100 leads, companies, deals or tasks in one call. When it creates leads or companies in bulk, it checks for duplicates first.
Sequences come after that. Creating a sequence sends nothing; enrolling a lead does. Sending from your own Gmail is in beta: while Google reviews Sashimi's Gmail access, it works only for approved test users.
These are data credits for Apollo. The AI itself runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, so there are no AI credits to buy from Sashimi.
Which statuses and fields suit agency work?
The ones that track a campaign from first touch to a meeting handed to the client. A new client workspace has a short generic pipeline, and an admin's AI can reshape it with tools such as create_status, create_deal_stage and create_custom_field.
Sashimi does not ship these. Ask your AI and it creates them.
- Lead statuses: New, Researched, Contacted, Replied, Meeting booked, Not a fit. Not a fit can have sub-statuses, such as Wrong person and No budget.
- Deal stages for meetings you hand over: Meeting booked, Meeting held, Proposal, Won, Lost.
- Custom fields on leads: Campaign (select), Source list (text), Meeting date (date), Handed to client (yes/no).
- Custom fields on deals: Service line (select) and Monthly retainer (number).
Every custom field can be filtered, so a question like "which leads from the Q4 outbound campaign replied?" becomes one request to your AI.
Who at the agency and at the client can see what?
Only the people invited to that client's workspace. Permissions are granted per workspace, and an invitation to one workspace gives no access to the others. Roles are owner, admin and member, and they are checked on every call, including calls from an AI.
- Admins configure the workspace (statuses, stages, fields, integrations) and invite people.
- Members work leads, companies, deals, tasks and sequences.
- Read-only connections. Each person can create their own read-only connector link. A client you invite as a member can use one to ask questions without changing anything.
- Activity log. Every AI call is recorded. With
list_mcp_activity, members see their own activity and admins see the whole workspace.
What does a small marketing agency need to get started?
A CRM for small agencies needs little setup. You need a Claude plan with custom connectors, or ChatGPT with developer mode on the web, plus a beta invitation. Sashimi is in private beta, invitation only, and free during the beta. Then you set up one workspace per client.
The connection guide covers the sign-in for each AI app; on Claude Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector. More on how the connector works.
If your agency is one person, the page for solopreneurs is closer to your setup, and the page for consultants covers selling your own services.
Prompts to try
- Find marketing directors at e-commerce companies in Spain with 51 to 200 employees. Don't import anyone yet.
- Before importing the first 25 of those, tell me roughly how many Apollo credits it could use.
- Add a select field called Campaign to leads, with the options Q4 outbound and Webinar follow-up.
- Show me this client's open deals by stage.
- Create a follow-up task for every lead in the Replied status, due next Monday.
Frequently asked questions
What should a CRM for agencies do?
It should keep each client's data and pipeline separate, let you prospect for a client without copying lists between tools, and let you give client staff access to their own work only. Sashimi does this with one workspace per client, operated from your AI.
Can a marketing agency keep each client separate?
Yes. Each client gets its own Sashimi workspace with its own records, statuses, fields, sequences and members. An AI connection is tied to one workspace and cannot see or switch to another.
How does a small agency prospect for clients from its AI?
You connect the client's workspace to Claude or ChatGPT and ask. Your AI searches Apollo for prospects at no credit cost, gives an estimate before importing, then creates the leads, logs activity and plans follow-ups.
Can I invite client staff to their workspace?
Yes. A workspace admin can ask the AI to invite people by email with `invite_member`, as admin or member, and the invitee sees only that workspace. At launch, the Team plan is planned with 5 seats and $8 per extra seat.
